I have a few DVD's that i made myself, by recording them onto disc from home video tapes filmed with an analogue camera...
I've been looking round for ages to find software that would allow me to convert and extract the files onto my computer so i can edit them.
I've already tried Aimersoft, Imtoo and many other programmes, most of which wouldn't convert the whole film anyway...and if they did, they were of poor quality.
I now have DVD shrink which has ripped the whole film, but my editing software, Pinnacle Studios, and also Windows Movie Maker, will not import the files...
When selecting, import movie files from the actual dvd disc on Pinnacle, it does so, but will not play them... and it won't let me 'import dvd titles' from the copy on my hardrive made with DVD shrink...

Any ideas on how I could do this? Or if there's another high quality ripping programme that will rip the entire DVD so that it is possible to edit in Pinnacle Studios(or Movie Maker)?

Please, i've been struggling for ages!

I would recommend downloading and installing DVD Decryter or DVDFab Decrypter. They are both DVD rippers much better suited at ripping DVD's than DVD shrink is. But I think the best thing for you to do is to read AfterDawn's recently released Basic DVD Authoring guides. They are very easy to understand and informative. And shoudl be a good help to you....
