Final Fantasy 8 on PSP disc 1 frozen

Help. I am currently playing Final Fantasy 8 on my PSP is the ripped version of the original final fantasy 8 Playstation 1. When I get to the part of the Dollet town on the communciation tower boss fight of Biggs/Wedge then Everot appears. The game freezes. How do I get past this or is it the problem with my 3.40 OE-A firmware?

i heard about this problem. its a glitch. but its not the game. its the save folder. you must research in google about this one. i forgot what you had to do. i think it was renaming the folder. try it.

Thanks. It's a good start, knowing that is not the bad rip of the disc I made because I was going to play it over on a downloaded version.

I have discovered something new. I downloaded a PSP ver. of FF8 and I was able to get past the Dollet part in disc 1. I guess my own rip was a bad one. I didn;t even have to change firmware or save file. Woohoo!!

I've never came across this problem, I ripped it myself from an original copy (not greatest hits) and I am on the 3rd disk.

I have another game ending problem again. The fight with the fake president my game was frozen. Also when I tried to fight GF Diablos, when he used Gravija, it froze. That's it, thats all I get to experiment with FF8 on PSP.
