I hav a v1.6 xbox, and i used to hav an "Aladdin 2" modchip on the mobo which worked really fine, and infact when it came to time that i was gonna upgrade to a 200gb HD, i had to get infos on how to flash the modchip so that partition G takes REST cos apparently the modchip was programmed not to hav more than 137gb Hd, later on i got infos from online that im to just solder points BT to L1 on the mod so as to disable flash protection then flash wit a bios of my choice..ok that done, it worked.
Months later the chip stoppped working mysteriously and i was just left with playin games only thru loading dvds from the original MS dashboard, few months later i decided to remod the xbox so i took it to a mod retailer and i got another mod installed only this time it was another type that had this "ALADDIN 2x 512k" label on it.,,after installation i booted the xbox and it loaded to the new evox dashboard, but the weird thing is its not loading most of my game dvds and the worst thing that happend is..it wont load any apps and stuff from both my retail and large HD even though it boots to the evoxdash and shows all menus evrytime i start the xbox but when i just wanna launch an app like xbmc or just anything, it hangs. i checked the mod to see if i can reflash it with a bios of my choice but the crazy thing is it had just BT and D0 points on the mod and no L1, and i dont know wht to do to the chip to disable flash protection so as to reflash another bios to it,...cos evrytime i try to flash the chip it shows device error, flash protected!

(Q1) so pls i need your help on how i will disable the Flash protection. u can check the modchip info here>> http://www.aladdin2.com/aladdin2x/ad2x_1.6.jpg

(Q2) wht has really gone wrong as to why both my HDs (the retail and the 200gb) wont load any apps or games anymore from the evoxdash.cos evrytime i click on any app or emu from the evoxmenu to launch, it will just hang at the skin loading screen.<>
if it was a case of mayb windows had corrupted the drives, i hav experimented fully formatting and rebuilding the retail 10gbHD with XBOXHDM tool, and i reinstalled fresh apps, and put it in my xbox and still the same results!!!!!
i do not know wht else to think of HEEEEEEELPPP!!!!..

bad modchip install? get a multimeter and check the connections and see if the D0 wire is install correctly as that is vital

also, FTP your box and see if the files match what you put on

my xbox used to delete the dash files and it just going to the service screen and if it is deleting the files transfer them by FTP

also my C partition was faulty and needed formatting like 900 times (exageration)

Ayame, i live for you xxx even though the sight may fade the feelings shall always remain

Ayame, i owe you my life but thats all i have to give to you as you already have my love and my heart

forever yours Joe xxxxx
