Hi all, I'm just hungry for good PSX games, and I can't seem to find anymore. Just make a list (1-10 max) of your favorite fun-factor games, with 1 being the best and 10 being the least best of "the best" games.
Please list the genre for this game a well made description for other players (such as myself) to grasp the idea of the game. DON'T ASK/POST ANY DL LINKS, OR SITES ON THIS THREAD, PLEASE. It's easy enough to search for...
1.) Chrono Cross-RPG- (It's a shame it got stuck 2 DAMN TIMES!!! I got so angry the 2nd time... it gets stuck after you meet Norris and he joins your party). I need not say anymore, as this game is a legendary RPG itself.
2.) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night-Action- A wondrous game, if you ask me. Castlevania SOTN is full of fun filled levels and voice acting, although it does get repetitive at times, there's always something that you can collect or do. However, on the downside, there's ABSOLUTELY NO REPLAYABILITY in this game, with the exception of being able to play as another character (which gets boring).
3.)Breath of Fire 3/4-RPG: Yes, I listed both of these RPG behemoths in 1. Although part 3 is out on the psp, it didn't grasp some of the great tracks, which is the sole reason I suggest one gets the PSX version. Breath of 3, in my opinion, had a far better plot than 4, but the major letdown for many RPG players (not myself) was the graphics and even the random encounter rate. Nevertheless, a great RPG. For those RPG cravers who want good graphics and a decent RPG, breath of fire 4 had both.
i'll complete my review later, gotta go! please post good posts!

1)Marvel vs. Capcom
this game is good if your into that fighting, especially if your into x-men. choose up to 20 players and over 30 partners.
2)street fighter vs. Capcom
This Game is also good. really addictive. still havent beaten it because of the controlling but oh well. gotta get use to it.
3)Megaman Legends 2
well im a fan of megaman and this is like the best megaman game they made. its 3d and you buy parts and its hard when you dont use cheats.

Metal Slug X. Excellent little game. A 2D side scrolling shooter, with insane difficulty, but that still won't put you off. Also i would suggest the original chrono trigger and Hogs of War (but only if 2 player is possible, which I don't think it is.)

Well, let's see. I would have to go with Tekken 3,Legacy of Kain Soulreaver, Elemental Gear, Einhander, Tobal 2, Critical Blow, Castlevania:Symphony of the Night, Wild Arms, Suikoden 1&2, Resident Evil 2 (best in series imo), Mortal Kombat Trilogy,etc... The list goes on and on.

Klonoa Door to Phantomile.
Description: It's a great platformer game that you'll enjoy playing. It got 9.2 on Gamespot and it is the editors choice. There is a sequel to this game on the PS2 as well as a few GBA games. The GBA games are good but not as great as the Klonoa games on the PS1/PS2.
Twisted Metal Games.
Description: Fun car-shooting games. Basically, you drive a vehicle with weapons and you destory the other vehicles.
Final Fantasy Anthology.
Description: It's a game with the RPG games FF5 and FF6. Though, it would take less space to just download the SNES version of these games. But the SNES emulator doesn't exactly run at 100% speed so it's your choice.
Xenogears.
Description: It's an RPG game you might enjoy.
Final Fantasy Chronicles.
Description: It's a game with the RPG games Chrono Trigger and FF4.
Final Fantasy 7/8/9.
Description: These three Final Fantasy game are like the previous Final Fantasy games. They're RPGs.
Street Fighter Games.
Description: Fun 2d fighting games. Too bad there's no multiplayer support for PS1 games on PSP because Street Fighter is really fun when fighting another person.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

Bump.
Thanks for contributing guys, I'm getting some good game names, and descriptions here!
Legend of Dragoon ^^: RPG- don't know much about it, but does anyone know how to get all 4 disks on the PSP, and even a smaller file for it? Thanks/
BTW pstamer, can you spare a lot more games from your list that goes on and on?
And try to make things diverse.. not only fighting games (I absolutely abhor them)

you only need one disk at a time, but i suppose you could compress the eboot using popstation GUI
Don't expect to save that much space though

Thanks tehsick. Btw, does that rule apply for every single game (I.E resident evil 2, or Final Fantasy 9). Thanks a lot.
My gosh, each freaking download of a multidisk PSX game is never under 1 GB @_@.
Guys, I just tried out Klonoa, and to be honest, it sucks... it's a total waste of time, and it reminds me of today's PSP games. Einhander was somewhat good, but I didn't give it a try; instead, I uploaded Jeane D' Arc... not exactly a great game either. Brave story was MUCH better.
Can anyone list some really good games for the PSX, and not the common ones either.
Thanks!

Yeah, any multidisk game should only need one disk at a time.
There are certain ones which require you to have both disks (only put disk two on near the switch-over though, no need to waste the space when its not needed), but i think its only on a few games, Metal Gear and such, which are quite hard to do the switch-over.
Also, you can download one disk at a time, but im not allowed to link you to these sites on here. I'll PM you.
Last thing, full games (nothing Ripped) will be massive when you extract them, for example FFVII disk one was 700mb for me, but i compressed it (level 9 compression) to around 500mb.
