ATI Driver help please

Hallo
Samsung LE-40M87
i have and abit kn8sli ( realtek audio onboard )
Gecube X1650 HDMI , running Media cennter 2005
when i dont install the ati driver (catalyst ) the audio to the TV works great but the picture is very bad
When i install the Catalyst driver it dosent mater witch version the audio disapear on the TV but i get the full hd support for the picture
my connection is HDMI (X1650 )to TV and analog audio from Motherboard to TV
went to a pc shop and they told me that i need some configuration with the ati driver
i have looked into the ati driver for 4 days and i lost hope
please help if someone knows what is the problem
or have some idea what it can be
