Greetings all! I'm a new member but have used this site a ton in the past to find solutions to my computer problems. Now I've hit a brick wall and need some help. I'm getting the infamous Invalid Block Address error when burning DVDs in Nero. All the solutions appear to focus on XP, and I'm using Vista.

OS: Vista Home Premium
Nero 7 Ultra 7.8.5
Dell D9200
Firmware for burner is up to date.

Problem originally started with XP. Dell sent me a replacement burner. No change. Did clean install of Vista...problem still there. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Really frustrating! I've tried to change media and noticed some better "luck" with +DVDR over -DVDR but it never really goes away. I know the common answer has been to select DMA to ON but Vista (with SATA) does not support that from what I understand. In other words, I can't seem to turn it on!

Never had any problems with my old Dell and LG burner...

Here is my error log...please help!

Thanks in advance,

Rotorwash

Thanks for the speedy reply. Problem is that I don't have IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLERS listed (I think it's because my system uses SATA interface instead of IDE. I'm not expert but I know that they're not listed in my device manager...Does that make sense?
