I have a Compaq Presario P4 3.06GHZ, 2gigs of ram, I needed some help picking out a good graphics card. My limit would be $200, but would like to know about all the good ones even if they are out of my price range, I don't do any online gaming or anything like that, but would like to I guess. I do lots of video editing, if that has anything to do with it. Any Ideas?

Post your model number, we'll figure it out.
BTW if you do have a pci-e 16x(you can also look up pci-e x16 on google image search and see if you have something like that on the motherboard) the 8800 GTS would be the best price performance ratio and it goes for 270.

If you do get a 8800, your processor would bottleneck it...

That does look really good, really up there on the $$$$$, I guess I just need an upgrade form my built in graphics card. I just got a PC to TV converter, and I can't really see things as I would on the monitor, its great for movies and its HD compatible, but I can't really read anything . The space in my room is limited and I have lots of stuff there, so I was trying to combine my entertainment center and pc and just use the same tv as a monitor, but what's the use if I can't read. That's why I thought that the problem had to be my graphics card.

Yeah waymon you're right, my bad. You really could just go with a 7600 GT and overclock it a bit, and you'll be fine. They go for around 80 bucks and you can play newer games on it as well. He has a PCI-E 16x port BTW.
