Well what is happening on my pc i a verity of problems. first is that i am getting very shotty internet access through my wireless card but i can explain that myself. but the thing that is getting me really annoyed is that when i try to play css my ping is at around 900. now i turned off my firewall and it is still a ridiculously high number is it because my wireless signal is usually at around 12mb/s and weak or is it because of low bandwidth (i am using 3 pc's and telephone 2 lines on on modem)or is it because of anything ells please help

P.S. i haven't played in a month so this is a dire situation

and is the wireless connection being weak the reason for it running at 12mb/s because that dont make sense to me

hmm, close running programs in background turn off all firewalls (i have 2) and other anti virus-spyware-adware programs

do scans for virus-spyware-adware before games and check if their server is laggy and compare your ping to theirs and shutdown the other computers

if nothing (try to remember where everything goes lol), disconnect everything from network that you least use and try running a direct connection instead of wireless it should give you a steady connection

and also check your line is not busy (obviously, cant be too noobish)

now i am running a direct connection after some drilling but anyways my ping is a little better but i used to play at a server called DRKP (which owns) and my ping was around 1 now it is like 300 and 400

server load depends on how many playing and what ping their average is then it generates an average ping for the server which affects all players so if their server host (people that own the server) gives the people (them using it) too little bandwidth then most games sometimes kick people as their ping is about 100 over the servers average...

i have my own server for halo and age of empires.... i use my xbox as a linux server so its free and cheap and easy to do but my average ping is over 450 so anyone over that, say 550 is kicked auto

you get what im saying? it varys on the servers bandwidth and how good the server is.... this DRKP may have switched server host or they may be running a small operative server which is emulated (software pretending its hardware)....

but your settings now are fine and your connection is optimised so try playing a different server or entire game and see what the average is but your good to go for now
