I am new to dvd burning so i am sorry if i am not explaining my self properly
i seem to be getting a lot of faild burns and am unsure as to why
here is my last nero log any help would be greatly appretiated

Looks like you are using poor media.
Your writer is not seeing the manufacture identification for the media.
I could not find any firmware updates for your writer.
Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the top brands.
I use Ritek which are very good.
What ever you get, stay away from "house brands" that just put thier name on the outside.
This site can be helpful on media quality.

I guess I have been looking at too many logs.
I missed the Disc Manufacturer: MCC 03 - RG20 line, but the drive is not seeing the disc correctly.
Updated firmware should help.

hi guys no help from acer they say no updates available
i dont believe them but i know that the updates from the manufacturer
are not oompatable with acer settings..
it seems a slower burn speed has helped with the dvds so ill stick to that until acer can help ......

Don't hold your breath...these preinstalled OEM drives usually don't see a whole lot of support.
