When I run a game (mostly Call of Duty 2 or Tiger Woods 2007) my computer will just reboot or at a minimum exit the program. I've ran tests, reinstalled, even reseated the heatsink to the pc last night but I can't find anything that works. I just replaced my vid card and I ordered new memory today. Also I ran a 3dmark 06 test today. Here's the results:
My system:
Motherboard - ASUSTeK A7N8X-E version REV 2
CPU - AMD Athlon XP 3000+ @ 2150MHz
Memory - Spectek Inc 512mb SDRAM DDR 166MHz
Micron Tech. 256mb SDRAM DDR 166MHz
OS - Win XP
Vid Card - NVidia Geforce 7600 GT 256mb RAM 560MHz i believe
HD - WDC WD800JB-00ETA0 80G 7200RPM
I got a 11130 Score on 3dmark 06 and it said it was the lowest ever to similar systems!
Does anyone know what I can do to solve the problem?? I've tried playing the games at the lowest settings and still it happens after 10-15 min. Are there any other tests I need to run??
ANY and I mean ANY info or help would be greatly appreciated.

11,130? Lowest ever???? Thats real good. I usually get around 4900. But anyways, it is most likely a heat issue, as after a card overheats, it will either close the 3d app to cool itself douwn or shut off the computer.
I never thought about the power supply. Sometimes it will just exit the game and say the game had an error. I've been told that its probably my memory... new stuff comes in friday so we'll see.
Do yall know any tests I can run to track and check my systems temperature?? So far all I can find is my CPU and mobo temp. I want to be able to check the vid card also...

Yeah, Riva tuner is a good program. You should also monitor your CPU and system temps. If your CPU came with a thermal pad on the bottom(I hear AMD's came with NOTHING between the CPU and HSF, is this right? I have never owned one.) take that off with some isopropyl alcohol and a coffee filter(Don't use anything sharp and scratch the HSF! or use a cloth that has lint in it) and apply Arctic Silver.
I reseated the Heatsink to the CPU the other night. It had a thermal pad but one of the worst pieces of crap ever. That plus cleaning the dust out of the heat sink broungh my idleing temp down about 5 degrees. it idles about 51C.
On the other hand tell me what yall think about this....
After having the settings on "optimal system settings" for COD2 I decided to change them all as low as they would go. With the graphics settings as low as they would go, it would only run the game for about 2 min. So then I tried to run it with everything turned all the way up. Not sure why this works but it will run over an hour in the game now because twice i've went that long and it hasn't shut off
No idea, but can you undervolt your CPU a bit as well? That would reduce temps even more. I think the temps was your problem and now that everything is fine you're good to go.
