So, I finally got Chrono Cross for psp! Yay! BUT... when I fight the komodo dragon boss thigy, the game freezes on 3.40 OE-A. If ther's a way around this on 3.40 OE-A then you can give me that, or if one of the m33 firmwares fixes it, i'll upgrade. I really don't care how I get this game to work.

it sounds like a similar problem to what i was having on FFVII, so i upgraded to 3.52 M33, and its perfect now
1.50 >3.30 > 3.50 > lumines > 1.50 > 3.40 OE-A > 3.52 M33

Okay. I was trying to avoid another firmware update, but if its necessary then so be it. I'll wait a while, and see if any one has any more ideas though.

1st - Rerip your game and apply a patch using the directions HERE.
2nd - Set the game ID to SLPS-01222.
(If you don't know how to do this, download Simple Popstation Gui Beta 2.21 [<-Click to get a download link]. After you download the program, open up your Chrono Cross EBOOT.PBP and then click on "Change Game Save and Game ID..." and change it. Then click on GO... and it will patch it for you.)

Yeah, I found that on the max console forums. It seems to work. I got past the first few bosses.

Okay, first to the guy above me, if you have fast disc speed on, turn that off.
Second, I recently installed 3.52M33, and once again my game doesn't work. I have the same problems again(crashing on bosses and status screen). I was near the end of Disc one as well.

I think you just need to save the game, and load up the save using the disc 2 eboot.

Thats what I meant. The patch removes something from the saves, so any disc one save can be used on disc 2. Any one got any ideas how to run it on 3.52 m33-4

Did you read the directions on the link?
You're supposed to apply the patch to the .bin file before converting it to an EBOOT.PBP file. It doesn't matter what firmware you have, all you need to do it is a computer. The directions are pretty easy to understand, just rip the disc using CloneCD (easier) or Isobuster (harder) and then change the name of the ripped disc to ccdisc1.bin and place it in the same place as patch.bat that you downloaded.
After this, run patch.bat and it will patch it for you. Then, use Simple Popstation Gui to convert it to an EBOOT.PBP, making sure that you use the same Save ID as your old unpatched disc. Open up your save file in the new EBOOT.PBP, save your game, then open up disc 2 and load it.
