Ive seen other posts on diffrent sites with this problem and had a similar problm with another game and found how to fix it, but not for this game.

I got the demo for Bioshock and it instaled fine. But when i go to open it the games logo appears and then the screen changes like the game is gonna start then says windows has to suddenly close the program.

With the other game it did the same thing but was fixed by changing it to windows 98 compatible (Need for speed carbon)

Anyway if anyone knows how to fix this please tell me before i delete this thing. Here are my spec (not completly expecting the game to run but new laptop so heres for trying)

Vista
Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T5250 @1.50GHz
1.99GB RAM
Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family

what it is and all.

please and thank you

It probably won't run as the game needs a proper gfx card, yours is integrated.

This laptop that's a year and a half old struggles with Bioshock on anything above medium/low:

XP Pro
Intel T2400 @1.83GHz (2 CPUs)
1022MB RAM
GeForce Go 7600

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

You can't play bioshock with integrated graphics. You should atleast have mid-range DX9 card if you want playable framerates and decent eyecandy.

Probably not a good enough gfx card, look at the minimum specs for the game.
