How would you convert rmvb to avi

What's the best software to convert rmvb to avi. I'v tried the Apecsoft RMVB to AVI Converter but end up with perfect audio but no visual.

Is there any worthwhile freeware that might do the job?

You also need to make sure you have all the necessary codecs. A good choice would be K-Lite codec pack (full or mega version):

Thanks for that. l had the same idea shortly after posting the question. Tried it on one pc and couldn't get winavi to work without errors then loaded it onto my laptop and bang.... good as gold...!!

Converts and burns perfectly...
