The last time I bought a 100 spindle of Verbs at Office Max the majority of them were made in India. I did find and buy one spindle that was made in Taiwan. I took the MIT to be on the safe side. Is there any difference in the India vs the Taiwan made Verbs?? If so, then be on the look out for where the spindle in made....

It is KNOWN that the Verbatim Made in Taiwan are Great! Why take a chance on Made in India? For what it's worth.
Someone will probably repute this, but nevertheless, if it is known to be good, why change?

No, I doubt Verbatim would go the ONLY Made in India route. Remember the "Price Match" thing. Got a Best Buy in Town? Take the Office Max Ad there & make them Price Match if they have Made in Taiwan. Most any Store will Price match as long as it's the same product & SKU.

Haven't seen any of the DL discs on sale anywhere.
BUT OD has Maxell DVD+-R 16X 50 packs on sale for $9.99 each. Look at the part NO. If it has RT it's Ricoh, CMC it's CMC MAG, or MDM it's Ritek. Might find something good if you like any of those Manufacturers. :)

spartan,
I have some of the media code you are asking about but they are made in Hong Kong and are FAKE afaik. :) So they suck to say the least. LOL. I've read on other forums that the RITEK DL discs are less than desired but I would like to see what you think about them. I've never tried the Verb's (DL) but I've heard and read they are the best!!
@all,
btw I was looking at the Maxell DVD+R's at BestBuy and they didn't have anything that indicated what the manufacturer was or is. LOL. I guess the new packaging drops the PT, RT, CMC, MDM, and so on. Anyone else see these new "wrappers"??

And PT at the end of the part number is Prodisc. Oh & the 50 pack Maxell sale is good for -R too.
I wonder something. Is OD way overstocked on Maxell or will they get rid of it like they did Imation?
