hello
right i have a problem with my new g-card (connect 3d x1950 pro 512 pci-ex)
it play games for about 10 mins and the it crash the monitor gos black and then turns it self off but u can still here the game in the back ground.
it dose this with all games but not flims
eny idears

it might be overheating, or it may not be compatible with your motherboard, check the websites of the motherboard/card. Someone else should be able to provide more help.

If the monitor is all black then how can you see the game? Do you mean hear the game through the speakers? I'm guessing your card might be overheating so I suggest you go check your temps.

It's either not getting enough power, or it's overheating. You'll need at least two pc case fans to run that card well. You'll also need a reasonable power supply. What case/fans do you use, and which power supply do you have?

Ive had this card in two mobo's an abit and a gigabyte. I have two 120mm alaska fans, 3 harddrive fans on all 3 HD's an artic 7 pro cpu fan and an exaust fan. My PSU is 570watt Trust power supply.
intel pentium D dualcore 2.8ghz
2 gig crucial balistix
gpu runs idle at roughly 46 degrees

Sounds like there's enough cooling there (btw do you mean Akasa?) the power supply could be an issue though.

That's not really a very good power supply, but the fact that the same problem occurs means the PSU isn't at fault. The graphics card temperature you've stated is fine. I'd suggest replacing the card under warranty to rule that one out.
