my nero woes continue...I cleared roxio, i cleaned my discs and defragmented and when i trieds to run nero i was infoormed that advrcntr2.dll is required

i obviously lost it in the process...
do i rstore my pc to original settings a run the risk of reinstalling roxio...are there anyother files that i lost and will need further into the install...

If you're just missing the one dll file, google it to find a download. It goes in C:\ -> Program Files -> Common Files -> Ahead -> Lib if I recall correctly.

thanks for your suggestion

i tried this before i eventually removed nero. Followed your algorithm but there was no lib after ahead so i just plunked the .dll into the nero file and when i tried running nero a message said the program was corrupted

it's after this when i tried uninstalling nero that my uninstall problems began

eventually i got nero uninstalled (see my other thread)

i need a break from nero...i reinstalled my roxio 8 and am able to back-up my dvd movies using both burners although to date i cant burn anything unto dl discs using my dl burner...

i'll probably give it another try but for now i got to get back to my real life....funny it took one week to go 360 dgrees...

thnks to every one for their helpand i'll be back again

You don't have to use Nero for burning. I usually use ImgBurn myself. It's free and is most excellent. It also burns DL disks.

You can use whatever authoring software you want and create either image files or a folder of DVD files. Use the Build mode of ImgBurn to first create an image file if you have a folder of DVD files and then use the Write mode to burn the image.
