Full Size DVD to 700MB AVI file? Help me!

Hi, i am stuck and confused. Can somebody tell me how you can turn a DVD movie into a small 700MB AVI file?

After ripping the DVD to the hard drive, load VTS_01_0.IFO and select 'Custom Size' 700MB for the output.

It takes overnight to convert a DVD to a quality AVI.

If you have your DVD in ISO form (easy to do with dvdshrink) you can use fairuse. It's main strenght is that it keeps perfect audio sync everytime and it's free.
