i have managed to succefully skin the sword in halo 2 on the map Sanctuary (deltatap.map). but i now i want to start over, and i cannot seem to get the original Bitmap back (it is always the same as the one i have skinned).i have downloaded fresh maps, and even internalized the skin to see if that helped, but to my dismay i am stuck with the skinned bitmaps. Why is this? and is it able to be returned to the original Bitmap?

You can't revert changes to maps once modded many factors implicate this due to unknown reasons. I'm still trying to figure this out but not trying to hard because you should always create a backup copy prior to modding.

Have you extracted the blade skin from a different map? Just inject a fresh unaltered copy into the map. Remember, there are more than one bitmap for the sword. Also remember to clear the X Y and Z drive out before firing up your mods if you changed little things. If all else fails, couldn't you just redo the skin as close to the origonal as you can? OR did you mess with the alpha channel and now you can't figure out how to get it back?
