Hi, I'm new to DVD ripping. At work I am being asked to put some training videos on our web site. After ripping the dvd's with "Magic DVD Ripper" and producing with Camtasia, the smallest I can get the files are 100-200MB. These are too big for our web host. Any suggestions to reduce file size any smaller?

how small do you need them? From my experience, using much more compression and you are going to lose so much quality they will be unwatchable.

Preferably in the 20-30 MB size would work. What is the best video format for the web?

I have seen .avi, .mpg or .flv (you tube) used on the web at my work. The size, and compression depends on the length of the video and the amount of detail and clarity you need. A 10 second video of good quality usually ends up being about 1MB from what I have found.
