Hi darren72
TDK uses different manufacturers so sounds like the manufacturer of the ones you have now might not be compatible w/ your drive.
A firmware update for the drive can help if one is available.
What's the make & model of the drive?

Did the same dvd's that worked before have the same media id - tdk-003?

The drive can use a firmware update - use A091 for the DRW 1016/1116IM/IB - it's listed under 'Windows firmwares available at www.emprex.com' - link

Where I get my Firmware updates and or older versions.
Firmware Page
Believe it or not I get better results using an older version of firmware for a Lite On SHW 160P6S, PS09 works better than the PSOC or PSOB version, rolling back to an earlier version might work for him as well??

I'd try going back to a previous firmware - might do the trick so give it a go.
Use the same link in my previous post and try A089. Looks like that's the previous one before both updates.

If that doesn't do it - switch the media to like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden to rule out the media.
The drives a bit older so it might be on it's way out.

Ok - I leaning a bit more towards the drive itself.

Try cleaning the lens with a dvd lens cleaner or some canned air.

Try different dvds just to rule out the media.

You can also try another burn program - just in case. Try the free ImgBurn. Use the build mode to add the video_ts file created by ConvertX.
