Picking the "best" capturing template

In Nero Vision, I am unsure which capturing template would work best for me. Manual says DV type 1 is good, but it takes a lot of disk space. The intention is to capture short (2-3mins) sports clips and then burn DVDs right away. Speed of processing and video quality are equally important in this case. Which are the pros and cons of these templates? Would DVD be better choice for me?
