Listen guys, I personally saw it as my duty to make an account here to post some very interesting information regarding some people being able to play worms 2 completly perfectly (even quick game) and why some people can't. I've always googled info on games and read alot of information for these forums without giving back so now is my time for all you Supercard Slot 2 Users out there:
I don't have an order in which to give you guys the most relevant information but this topic has to do with the supercard itself and the type of micro sd card you use, because this will not only affect the worms 2 game but it will affect other games (Perfect example is Castlevania Portrait of Ruin...I'll talk about that in a moment)
First, And most Important NEVER Buy the Sandisk "Premiere" micro card!! This card will not only causes worms not to play but it will also cause Castlevania (and maybe other games)to crash. (to test this yourselves all you have to do is continuously pause and unpause the game and at some point very soon, the game will freeze....I know your thinking "who pauses the game rapidly during normal play" but it's not about the game being paused rapidly, it's about the fact that it will crash at some point when you pause or unpause the game.)
Second, The Supercard, I'm sure you already noticed but their are now two different supercards (the original old one with the bubba fett sticker, and the new one with the supercard logo only) if you have the new one, you MAY be in trouble. (I will explain why on my last paragraph). I don't have Solid information about why, but I will explain my theory in the last paragraph now. (I gotta rap this up )
I personally own the old supercard with a Sandisk "Ultra II" 1GB Micro sd Card. I downloaded worms without the arm7fix and simply converted my rom (as you guys know to do with supercard) and played it...no fancy tricks, no disable nothing in the options menu of supercard, NO NOTHING! Just a simple download and convert and the game works perfectly!! (both Euro and US) and of course, none of my other games (castlevania included) freezes. I thought "ok maybe it's just my micro Premeire card that freezes the games and not my new supercard". So what I did was put my Ultra II in the new supercard and tried worms.....didn't work...froze at the loading screen. Also castlevania froze after some point of pausing too. So what I'm trying to say is there is something up with the new supercard too. I don't know what but definitely, definitely, DEFINITELY DON'T BUY THE PREMIERE CARD!
If it hasn't been obvious yet to you guys, I have both the old and new supercard and the Ultra and Premier micro card so I know from experience...If you want worms to play perfectly, Get the old supercard and a "Ultra II" micro sd Card. I look forward to your barrage of questions.
PS: I know that sandisk is not making anymore Ultra II and is replacing it with premieres but still...find the shit out of those Ultra II's and never let them go! Also....some insider information...if you buy on ebay the Ultra II be careful of "Fastmemoryman". He's not a bad person but he will post Ultra II's but then send you premiere's and write to you in your envelope that these are upgrades. Make SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR....ULTRA II's
I'm too cool for signature
