os: windows xp pro media center edition'04
burner: sony dru510A
standalone: philips dvd750
tools: dvddecrypter, dvdshrink 2.5 and 3, nero 6 ultra.

here is my question. is it possible to burn a dvr-ms file to dvd-r? i have windows mce so i have been capturing some of my favorite shows. i would ultimately like to burn them to dvd-r and watch on my stand alone at my leasure. im using media that is compatable with the burner and the standalone. each hour long video of dvr-ms takes up about 3 gigs. i have posted this question on the newbies with no luck. so is it possible, if yes what hardware, programs, apps., and steps do i take in order to make this happen. also would it be possible to shrink in order to fit up to two hours of dvr-ms video/audio on a dvd-r. if these questions have already been asked and answered on another thread please post link otherwise i would love some help.

Yes you can. The WinXP MCE comes bundled with some software (MyDVD by Sonic, v 4.04+) that does convert the DVR-MS format (which is Mpeg2 encapsulated in an AVI header of some sort) when rendering it. Go to http://www.shspvr.com for more info on this and select the MCE menu item.
