I've got the Sony dcr-trv103 rigged up to XP home (yes all updates), but Windows won't recognize the device, and prompts for a CD. XP should automatically know what the device is and install the drivers. I have triple checked 1394 controller drivers, and cable connections, to no avail. Any help?

Do you know for a fact that XP should recognise the device?

I had to load drivers for my camera before I plugged it in the first time

my sony dig8 has to be on and connected when I boot computer. If its active windows recognizes the device.
