Hello!

I have been using 3.03 OE-C until now. Recently i upgraded to 3.52 M33-4 because a game wouldn't start. The problem is that I can't get any Playstation (PSX) games to work on it, the screen just go black. I use the program that I have always used that's called Simple Popstation or something. It worked when I had 3.03 OE-C.

Do I need to use a newer version of popstation to get it to work?

First off you did go from 3.03 OE-C to 3.52 M33 then to 3.52 M33-4 correct? If you didn't upgrade to 3.52 M33 first then more then likely that is your issue. If you did then disregard the above and look below.

Make sure the games are being placed in the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

1 of the nice things about 3.52 M33-4 is that it has a popsloader plugin. All you do is download this FILE and extract it. It will extract a seplugins folder which you place in the root of the MS.

You then enable it in the recovery menu under plugins.

You can enter the recovery menu the same way you do with OE versions. Hold R shoulder down while turning on.

This plugin has the following pops versions...

3.0/3.01/3.02/3.03/3.10/3.11/3.30/3.40/3.51 and Original from flash (3.52)

When you first run a PSX game the pops menu will come up. You will need to choose a pops version to use. After you choose the version it will remember what pops version to load for that game.

If you choose a pops version that doesn't launch the PSX game or the game lags or freezes you can change to a different version by holding down the R shoulder button while starting the PSX game.

I first upgraded to M33 then M33-4. I downloaded the files and I tried all of those "pops". the closest I came to get the game working was when it asked me if I wanted to convert my save file for that game. after i press 'yes' the game just go black again.

It asks me to convert the save file because i played that game before I upgraded to M33, so I thought if I remove the save file maybe it will start instead of asking me to convert the file.

I hate this problem.

Did you go from OE straight to M33?

Some have upgraded perfectly fine that way but others have had issues. Recovering back to 1,50 then installing to 3.52 M33 usually corrected the issues.

You could always try to recover back to 1.50 using this RECOVERY folder.

Place the extracted RECOVERY folder in the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

Go into Recovery Mode (Hold down R shoulder button while turning on PSP) after it boots to recovery menu choose "RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP" and follow the on screen instructions. This will downgrade you back to 1.50 so you can do a clean install to 3.52 M33.

After you recover to 1.50 you will need to use the KXploit patcher which is in the 1.50Only folder of the 3.52 M33 upgrader. Just follow the read me file that comes with the 3.52 M33 upgrader. After running the KXploit Patcher run the 3.52 M33CREATOR and then update. Then after your at 3.52 M33 don't forget to update to 3.52 M33-4.

Then add that popsloader plugin enable it and try your PSX games again.

Out of curiosity what are the PSX games your trying to play?

FUCKING HELL PIECE OF SHIT PSP!

I tried re-installing to M33 then M33-4 and the game didn't start. Then I tried 3.40 OE-B and it still doesn't work. I tried another iso of the game so I don't think that's the problem.

Should i try to change some options in the recovery menu?

watch the language please.

(and u mean 3.40 OE-A, there was no B)

are you downloading or dumping your own PSX game here? just curious cuz if ur dumping it'd be easier for us to possibly distinguish what's wrong.

Sorry about the language and I mean 3.40 OE A.

I fixed the problem now. It turned out that something was wrong with both of Silent Hill ISOs. So easy problem but it's so annoying to download a file on 400 mb when there is not anybody seeding the file.
