I am looking to upgrade the RAM in my Dell Dimension XPS Gen 3 from 1 GB (2x512) to 3 GB (2x1GB) and the (2x512). My question is, my existing RAM is 533Mhz, will any of these new ones work and if so, which is the best one? Also, is it better to run 2GB of RAM at 800 MHz or is it better to run 3GB RAM at 533 MHz?
Which of these are better?

I would get the Patriot Memory. Patriot sticks are made in the USA and not [edited by lethal] china. At least mine were.

I don't care where they are made. I am just looking at performance and reliability and compatibility.

All three are good, but if the corsair and patriot have lower timings, make it one of those two. I personally prefer corsair.

Crucial, Corsair, OCZ and G-Skill are all good RAM manufacturers for overclocking.

I think I am going to go with the Patriot. Now, is it better to run 3GB RAM at 533 MHz or is it better to run 2GB RAM at 800 MHz?

Depends, if you need more space than 2 GB then no amount of speed can make up for the fact that you don't have anywhere to store the program.

Hmm, 2GB should probably be alright.

Halo 2 is a VERY unoptimized game(on the PC). It does take up a lot of RAM, but yeah 2 GB should probably be fine. Why use Vista though? You're much better off with XP. With Vista I'm not too sure if 2 GB will be enough.

Running Halo 2 in xp, it runs OK, but they hard-disabled the 2560x1600 resolution in the game, which annoyed me.

It requires too much power for a game that is graphically inferior to FEAR. Take into account that Vista takes up about 500 MB more than XP doing NOTHING, that memory gets eaten up quick.

Way inferior, it's the same textures as the xbox version.

Yeah that's a bug with the patch, you have to cheat past that level to proceed.
