Hey

I've been having trouble with my laptop. Yesterday it wouldn't start up properly. It would go to the initial HP Window and freeze for a few minutes. Then it would go to this other black screen where it goes if you have a disk in the disk drive, then it stops. When i press F10 it goes to the setup menu but i tried F8 to start up in Safe Mode but it did nothing. When I inserted the Recovery Disk it said something like no hard disk found. And now when i press the power button the power and charge light flicker but thats it the laptop doesnt even power up. Help please!

Sounds to me like a failing motherboard. You may want to call HP if that's the case. You may also have a short somewhere in any of the devices... cd/dvd, screen, power circuit board or hard drive. I've seen what you're having a problem with be caused by any of these symptoms.

IF the problem is what I'm guessing, yes it sometimes can be. I hope for your sake it's still under warranty. The manufacturer should fix it free.
