I went to the O.C.ing thread and it was no help to me at all so i'm hoping that someone can help me here.
componets:
Motherboard: Asus A7V400-MX
CPU: Athlon XP 2800 (Barton)
Memory: 1.5gigs PC 3200
New heatsink and 80mm fan on the CPU, soon getting water cooling.

So once in the BIOS what do i do next?

Increase the front side bus (FSB) speed in small increments up until the point when the PC is unstable (you get a blue screen or crashes) then drop it down to the highest stable speed. You may be able to achieve better results by increasing your memory timing settings (particularly CAS latency) and increasing voltages, but be careful with the latter, only do it in small steps, and avoid going any more than 0.1V above what it is now. Only do this for the CPU, not any other devices.

Yeah I would like a tutorial on how to acces that spot cause I don't know how to and no offens or enything but people don't explain things corectly.

So if sombody can make a tutorial for us on how to access the (FSB) then that will be real great.

Well, the exact name depends on your motherboard, for example for some boards it's in "Advanced CMOS Features" and in there, "Jumperless settings".

Here, why don't you guys take a pic of your BIOS screen and we will help you out. dg, I don't think you have actually POSTED in the OC thread. You can't just browse through and expect to find specific answers. Post there and there will be plenty of help ;)

I doubt it. Especially if it was a standard prebuilt PC. Overclocking wasn't as prominent back then, and certainly more risky.

yes, sorry about that, but to be quite honest, on a board that old you weren't going to get much out of it even if you could overclock with it.
