Hi all,

I'm using the most recent version of Nero 7. I typically burn my mpeg 2 files straight to disc, using the burn as data DVD and all comes out well, with it showing up as an MPEG 2 file, ready to play when I pop it in the computer.

Just burned a DVD and when I went to check it, it simply says my file name and as type, FILE. Not an MPEG or movie cliip. When I open it via windows media it will play, but I'd like it as an mpeg.

Any idea what the issue is?

Thanks,
Lis

Hi,

To burn your mpeg file as a dvd video, you need to use nero vision 4 and not nero burning rom.

I'm not trying to make a Video DVD, I simply want to back up the mpeg file. I've got 200 discs that are just fine burning it with the data disc. Just this one won't cooperate.
