not able to play normal dvd's on my HD monitor

I jsut bought this tv,

it looks amazing on my pc, it also has all the inputs for composite, hdmi svga and everything, really nice. But when i try to play a regular dvd movie on my pc it tells me that windows media player cannot play it at this resolution and/or color setting and to go to my settings and lower them. I am at 1900x1200 resolution which is my monitors native resolution, anything lower is very blurry and ugly. any ideas on how to get a dvd to play well without being all blurry?

I dont have any other dvd player atm to try and hook it up through composite or hdmi so i'm stuck with my pc, for games though this tv is absolutely amazing looking, if you have a good enough vid card and everything else to stay smooth at this resolution.
