PLEASE HELP problems setting ringtones for SE W580i

i just got the SE W580i and ive been having problems setting one of my mp3's as a ringtone. When I go into the ringtunes folder try to access a folder that has mp3's in it, it will just say no files.

Do I have to convert the file first? I've tried DRM packager and it still won't recognize the file.... please help
