Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but i have a problem. I have over 10,000 mp3 files that have the song start with a (1) then the song name...so the metatag for title looks like this:

(1) Beautiful Day
(2) City of Blinding Lights

So , the question is, how can i automatically get rid of the (1) before each mp3 name? Is there a way i can do this in an automated fashion?

Thanks for your help!!!!

I use The GodFather for my tagging and renaming needs. Freeware. You can rename the files based on any pattern from the tags, like: <title> - <artist> - <album>.MP3. That's the format I use.
