Hi,

I am looking at the Sony HDD DCR-SR300 and the Sony DVD DCR-DVD508.

I much prefer the the HDD camcorder over the mini DVD unit but I am concerned about the lack of a viewfinder on the HDD model. In fact it surprises me that can not find a non-professional HDD unit that has a viewfinder while most mini DVD units have them.

Does anyone know of current standard definition HDD model that has a viewfinder? I undestand the Hitachi HDD/DVD DZHS500A has it but this camcorder suffers from below par video performance.

Am I being too concerned over the lack of a viewfinder? What has been your experience?
