Ok I am trying to make some pokemon in pokesav. I first go to edit pokemon and I make the pokemon setting the language to ENG. Next I click Party Members 1, then go to AR - DS code output and check Party Member 1 and Party Member Amount. I then save it as an xml file and open it with notepad.

The problem is in notepad just before the code starts it says

<game>
<name>Pokemon Diamond (JPN)</name>
<gameid>ADAJ da4869f7</gameid>
<cheat>
<name>POKESAV generated</name>
<codes>


The bold red is the problem. How do I get that to change to USA?

Mine doesn't do that.

I generally make the Pokemon in an empty storage box and then bring them into my party when I go to a Pokecenter. I've never had that problem and I don't get it just messing with the storage. I never mess with the party members because it seems not to work as well for reasons I don't claim to understand or be able to document. Others may now laugh at me, I'm just relating what works for me.

The two things I would recommend are:
1. Don't mess with the language setting. My guess is it defaults to ENG. Redownload and reinstall Pokesav if you must to get a clean unmessed up version and then never go near that setting again.

2. If you are already in Notepad and looking at the XML, risk just just taking it out. I have no idea what would happen but my guess would be the worst thing would be the cheat wouldn't import and work.
