Its driving me mad.. for a while now all my burns fail and say "burn process failed at..." i've tried all the speeds and nothing works. I got told to look at my primary ide and it says my current transfer mode in device 0 is "ultra DMA mode 6" and my device 1's curent transfer mode is not applicable. MY secondary ide channel device 0 says mode 5 and my device 1 is mode 2.
It is not my drive as it was working fine for a bit and then it kept giving error messages so i tried buying a new one and it still says the same.
I dont understand this but my error log for one of them was

Hi 140205
Turn off DVD-copy on the fly.
The error you getting is because somethings up with the source disc you are trying to copy from.
Copy on the fly does ripping & burning in real time so any little glitch in the reading and bam fails and you have a coaster.
Check the back of the disc also for any dirt, scratches or smudges and try cleaning it off w/ something non abrasive in a non circular motion.
Try using the LiteOn to read and burn it. It may do a better job then the DVD-Rom drive.
Take the burn speed up to 4x or 8x - 2x is a bit to slow.
