Hi, I just purchased a VISTA based PC MEDIA center from Velocity Micro. I still have a Panasonic DVD recorder, my question is this.....

How come I am able to record any movie off my Cable TV channels and burn them to a DVD using the Panasonic DVD recorder,

BUT when I record a show using my Windows Media Center (VISTA) I can record to the hard drive, but when I try to copy a movie to a DVD it says they are copy protected broadcasts and I cant copy them...

Why can you burn a dvd with a DVD Recoredr, but not with a pc based dvd recorder/media center? It does not make sense...

Someone said they are protected with DRM,is there a website that I can buy a program to help me ,to record these movies to DVD?

THANK YOU
