Hey, the recovery partition application should launch automatically as soon as you click on the drive letter. There may be an executable file within the partition.

If you hate Vista as much as some people, dont give up on the wireless issue yet and keep trying..........

Hey, there is no such thing as stupid( at least not in this forum..lol).......only lack of knowledge or experoence.

Start>Right click My Computer>Manage>Disk Management

look to see if you can see the partition and try to access it.

PS. Dont give up on the drivers for XP....Keep trying

What is the model of notebook?

Hi thanks for your help I'm still having trouble though. I can see the partition but when i right click I don't get the option to open or mark partition as active, I only get delete partition or help tabs highlighted. On the C and D drives all options are highlighted. The model is Hi-Grade M430. Thanks G

Hi, to boot from recovery partition, power down the notebook. When you turn it on press the F10 key. This will access the recovery menue.

I looked on the HiGrade site and there is no reason why you cant install the XP wireless drivers. Download the drivers for XP. Go to add remove programs and get rid off all wireless utilities. Install the drivers.

Some can but my pc can't even get on the internet until I install the driver's so I wouldn't count on them still being there. I've not used either of these program's but they sound good and are free as well: http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/ or http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,64610/description.html Burn your own CD of driver's for the future.
