Use Nero Info Tool to find your drive model and it's current firmware, then look here for firmware updates...

Post your error log in this thread if you saved it. If not, simulate another burn and post that error log for me to look at.

Not a lot of RAM there, so make sure you don't multi-task during the burning process and maybe consider installing another 512mb stick of RAM.

Your media is OK. You may wish to purchase some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media though, if nothing else works.

6x is a bit slow for 16x media, try 8x minimum.

It's most likely memory usage that is killing it.

Well, how old is our drive? If over a year, with no updates, it may have trouble burning to newer blank media as your burner doesn't know how to write to it. And yes, it does mean that.. However, if you have a v fast processor or a lot of RAM, Limewire running in the background or w/e should be Ok.

Well, i'm pretty sure you're on the latest version of Nero; Your firmware is as up-to-date as I can find; RAM is plentiful..

Only thing is you're burning a bit slow, try upping it to 8x. If that fails, your media is not the best so I recommend trying some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. (Not that your burner isn't liking the media, it appears to be accepting it fine).

Can't see what else it would be.. Make sure you don't multi-task.

What are you trying to burn?

That is indicative of cheap media...Ritek were good at one time, but as of late have given spotty results. The most consistent and compatable brands are Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden as listed by phlax.
