ok i have the pandora set in my PSP, it gave me a menu
press x to downgrade using ms0:/ UPDATE.PBP.
press 0 to backup nand to ms0:/ nand-dump.bin.
press[](square) to restore nand from ms0:/ nand-dump.bin.

I had a 3.52 firmware, but found it couldnt use homebrew so i got a pandora batt set, i just want to play homebrew (ISO/CSO files) what button do I press? I'm guessing x, right?

yes, press x. it will downgrade to 1.50. but you aren't done yet. you'll have to upgrade to custom firmware because staying at 1.50 is very restrictive to most games. upgrading to custom firmware will make it easier on you.

follow this guide, made by larrylje, and you'll upgrade successfully

3.52 M33 HERE

3.52 M33-4 HERE

3.52 firmware HERE

1.50 firmware HERE

Download the 3.52 M33 CFW linked above. Extract the file.

Download both the 1.50 and 3.52 firmware. You need to re-name the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP. Then add them to the M33CREATOR folder.

Now copy the M33CREATOR folder to the PSP MS directory of ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

Now go to game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR.

After you run the M33CREATOR it should reboot back to the XMB. It should have created a 3.52 M33 update which you need to select in the Game Menu Memory Stick.

It will flash the files to the PSP and you should be at 3.52 M33 firmware. If it is then format your MS.

Now extract the 3.52 M33-4 update.

Drag the PSP folder that is in the update M33-4 into the root of the MS overwriting the files when it asks you to. Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the m33-4 update. This will only take a few seconds.

After the update is finished check and make sure it says 3.52 M33-4 for firmware. If it does say 3.52 m33-4 then format the MS 1 more time.

You are now updated to 3.52 M33-4.

Now go into recovery menu and follow the below...

Go into recovery mode (Hold R shoulder button down while turning on PSP)

Now go to configuration then to UMD MODE and keep pressing X till you see Sony NP9660 NO UMD.

When it is set to the above setting go to BACK and press X.

Now go to ADVANCED and press X.

Go to ADVANCED CONFIGURATION and press X.

Make sure all the settings here are disabled.

Now EXIT out of recovery.

before you update, you will need to patch the system. in the provided link to the 3.52 m33 firmware, there is a 1.50only folder. copy the contents to your ms0:\psp\game. then in the psp menu, go to games/memory stick and run the kxploit permanent patch.

yes, you can still downgrade back to 1.50. there is a built in recovery menu. you'll need the recovery folder before going back to 1.50.

Pressing "O" will backup your nand e.g.flash 0 which is used to keep all of the psp operating files, if you try and flash something and it doesn't work out ,your psp wont boot. So pop in pandora and press "#" and it will put your psp operating files back to where they should be. Hope that kinda helps thing out

Do that then you're bricked and not even Pandora can help you.
Firstly, backup your nand file from YOUR PSP.
Once done, then your PSP should be unbrickable :P

BTW, the use of nand is backing up everything on your PSP(flash). If you bricked using the flash1 corruption(check out my signature on how to place themes on 3.71M33 safely) then restoring the nand will recover your PSP. So, that's the best way to go :)

No. If you brick due to flash1 corruption, then Pandora nor Recovery mode will work. If I were you, I'd backup the nand with my Pandora while my PSP works.

this is hella interesting by the way, buh like if u get ur psp bricked and u didnt back up the nand, makin it unrestorable(am i correct so far hypothetically?) cant u jus do the downgrading of the psp by pressing X to make it 1.5? ( i heard that the downgrading is the unbricking) buh if it were my psp being bricked, cant i jus use my memory stick with pandoras battery in it(magic stick) and the battery itself( the jigkick) and activate the pandoras battery and put the jigkick and the magic stick on my psp to unbrick my psp??
im srry if my question too long, i only downgraded, never unbricked.
