Hello guys.I've got this problem and I really dunno what to do

So I want to open and forward ports for uTorrent.I've followed techiinque's walktrough and I can say everything was going smoothly.
When I got to the fowarding part I got lost.
My problem is that I can't access my router.
After typing cmd, etc etc. and finding my gateway I tried typing that adress in i.explorer and firefox but both gave me the "can't find the webpage" thing.
I know I got the gateway right since I tried pinging my router and it was there.
The router is a Thomson Speedtouch 7G(the thing is I couldn't find it on the thomson's site and that's really strange :/ )

So can anyone help me with this please.
I didn't post in technique's thread because I don't think I fit right there

Thank's in advance

Oh and I got another question.
I don't know if I got a static or a dynamic ip.The fact is every time I turn on my computer and I get the same ip adress so it must be static right?

Yes

On the Speedtouch, I know nothing about it, but I did find the Speedtouch 7G Installation and Setup Guide.
Hope it helps.

According to page 35 of the guide you should be typing either
http://speedtouch.lan or 192.168.1.254 in the web browser to access the web based user interface.

Is that what you have been entering?
