ive just formatted my 1gb micro sd on my pc (by mistake) and now ive lost all my info and windows cannot even recognise whats on my sd card what can i do??

If you completely formatted it, you can't do anything, the files are gone.

Depending how you formatted it you may still be able to recover some of your files with a program such as Undelete Plus (think it's freeware so just google for it).

If Windows can't detect the card properly you should be able to recover it using the HP USB Format Tool (Freeware), however this will wipe any chance of recovering files from the card.

i still have all files on disk but i cant understand why windows can format a disk but cant recognise it after?????

Simple, something screwed up the format.

Number of reasons such as (but not limited to) are forced cancel of format, corrupt microSD, faulty card reader, pulling the sd out during the format.

You should be able to just reformat it, if not use the HP USB tool I mentioned above, that has never let me down.

thanks for replys just used the hp format and that still didnt detect my sd card in the drive .
