Got nero 8 and nero vision as well as directx doesn't recognize ,nero beta has problems,they sold @ best buy but hopefully the fixes will be in. if not well lets not think the unthinkable.

Hi,
Nero 8.1.1.0 is now available, so you might as well download it and see if it'll work with your 'best buy ' serial key.
And if it works, pls let us know if it's any different from 7.

I have the full version of 7. does anyone know if there will be an 'upgrade' price to 8? If there is any difference?

Nero 8 from best buy did have a problem but you can install right over that one and everything will be ok. I experienced the same thing with vision but it works well now. Just download and install using your key if asked for.

Nero 8.1.1.0 is available from www.filehippo.com, finally. Let the bugs begin!
Update, tried to do a clean uninstall of Nero 8 using the Nero clean tool, didn't do a great job, I had to go in and manually delete some of the Nero files myself, Deleted Nero file and the shared (common) files and then reinstalled Nero 8.1.1.0 After that, everything went fine.

Well i tryid to run Nero 8,
it installed fine.
Just 1 fault in Nero StartSmart.
first it start well. after a reboot it came with a error.
error:
a popup say's:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!

@Pryme_H,
what are your system specs and have you defragged your hard drive recently? I have a 1.9 GHz processor, 1 Gig of ram and don't see any difference between Nero 7 and Nero 8 in speed and usability.

yes mate nero8 is a lot different to nero7 its worth a download mate i havent had any problems with nero8 10/10 for me

The upgrade page didn't work for me today so I had to pay the full $79 for Nero 8.
Do I have to uninstall 7 before I can install 8? Or can I just install 8 over 7?
