So here are the specs of my computer:
ABIT KN9 SLI Motherboard
AMD ATHLON 64X2 6000+
8600 GT OC
Audigy Creative 5.1 Soundcard
120GB Maxtor Harddrive
Pioneer 18X18 SATA CD-Drive
Two 1Gb Patriot RAM
Antec 500w Power Supply

Now I plugged in everything that needed to be plugged in, but I have one problem. There is no video. I've searched all over the internet for answers. I've already Tried the mobo with one stick first, then two, then none to wait for the beeps, I've even exchanged the motherboard for a brand new one of the same type. I did it on my dining room table and took precautions so i dont accidentally cause a electric discharge, I made sure all the fans are spinning, and all the proper lights are on. When the power is on the fans work, and I get two red lights indicating power, and a green light indicating that it is running properly. But I am getting no video.

Are there any other things that i have to check in order to make this computer work?

Is the 4-pin CPU power connector plugged in?
Did you attach the cooler for the CPU correctly?

The four pin CPU Power connector is plugged in correctly. For the CPU:
First I placed the CPU correctly in the propper pin holes where the processor goes. Then i removed the plastic cover on the bottom of the cooler where the adhesive is. I placed the cooler precisely ontop of the CPU and then attached the clamps from the cooler to the motherboard so the CPU stays in place.

I dont seem to be getting any beeps from the motherboard. Ive also upgraded my 500W to a 700W power supply to see if it was a power issue but it doesnt seem to work. Ive already exchanged the motherboard at Frys for a brand new one of the same exact kind, since it was an affordable and decent gaming motherboard. I dont think it is possible for me to have gotten another dead board so I want to take a guess and say it either has to do with the videocard or the RAM.

I also have a question about the videocard. I got mine BFGTech, and it comes with a lifetime warranty. When i opened the box I noticed on the bottom of the card (opposite side where there is no fan) had a few spots that seemed to have come from a liquid. Keep in mind that I had not put any fluid on it, but had found spots all over the back of the card. Could this have something to do with it?

That means the hard disk hasn't been identified. Check whether it's recognised in the BIOS. If so, is windows installed? If not, check power and data cables, along with any possible jumpers.

Well, if you have no OS installed, it won't get any further!
That's the point where it would load your operating system, so everything's working fine, you just need to install windows!

Go into your BIOS and make sure that you are booting from CD first. Put hard disk as second.

hehe no worries. If you get any problems after XP is installed, reverse the process and put the hard disk back as first.
