hi i was wondering if there was a better way or downloading files than bit torrent becase i am gettign sick of waiting days for my downloads to compleet so has anyone got any sujestions thanking you all in advance

As far as I know bit torrent have got the best speeds going. It's not to good for older files but workers really well when they are new.

The down side of bit torrents is that it's a bit more difficult to use than other p2p networks. It's important to have your firewall setup right or you won't get good download speeds.

Depending on what you download I usually how I pick between which program I use. For music and sometimes programs I used Bearshare. For movies and television I use Bitcomet.

Have a look into Newsgroups: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/389304 Looks complicated but it's not. Always 100% download speed and no uploading. Same files as Bittorrent but not similar to it. You want a good retention rate and while your ISP may have one, it's usually around 3 days, look at Powerusenet or Giganews. If you wish to pay for a program to d/l with, Newsleecher is a good one. The only other programs you'll need are Quickpar (free) and WinRar.
