So, I use ANYDVD and CLONE DVD to make backups of my DVD's.
I use Verbatim DVD-r
They Play in PS@ SCHP 3900, as well as the latest PS2 (7900) In both PS2's the movie plays excellent however for some reason around the halfway point the DVD just stops.. However the original will play in its entirety on the PS2's
Also the Copied DVD will play entirely on a DVD player, any Idea what the problem is?

Whoops, I just checked and Im actually using Verbatim DVD + R apparently Im better off going with DVD-R's?
I still don't know if thats the reason, I would think if that were the culprit the movie wouldn't play at all, instead of play halfway through then Stop (BlackScreen, no error) I have this same problem with all of my backed up DVD's they play just fine in the DVD player, and the original will play fine in the PS2, but you put the backup in the ps2.. and ya know how that goes

Hey Thanks for the Feedback!! I am quickly realizing that reading these threads :)
Do you think that is the reason for the problem?

I would think it would be the best place to start. But since it plays most of the way through that leads me too believe its a bad burn, the media, or the lens. Since they work on your DVD player fine, and the originals are read fine, its got to be the media. Try burning one of them on a DVD-R and check if it works.

OK will do, Id certainly hope its not the lens, I had tested it all on the older PS2, and I just bought the latest Slim PS2 like 3 days ago and just tested it last night fresh out of the box

When you burned, or downloaded the movie was it in 2 parts, That might be the problem.

I don't think it has anything to do with + or -, I suspect you are using bad qaulity media. What brand are the discs you're using? What speed are they? What speed do you burn them at? Are you making sure the image of the DVD you're ripping is a size that will fit on to a DVD5?

Many PS2s will not play DVD+R discs.

I've had 4 PS2s and they have all played DVD+R, from launch, to in between to slim.
Although a general rule that can sometimes help is playing - in fat PS2s and + in slims, though this has never really applied to DVD movies, only games, and even then it's a pretty 'loose' rule.

Sorry I havnet gottenback otthe thread.. the media I am using is Verbatim DVD+r the program I use is Cone DVD.. can you use DVD Decrypter to copy movies as well?
Im unaware if it copies it in 2 parts.. there is usually an audio_ts and video_ts. But its just weird the same thing runs problem free in my Laptop, and dvd player yet not cuts off in the ps2.. I am ruling out the possibility of it being the lens as I mentioned it cutoff at he exact same moment in both the fat and the Slim PS2.
This +r -r is confusing me now.. the thread titled "BEST MEDIA" something to that effect stated that +r is the best.. +R definitely works.. I just tried to start a -Rand it wouldn't do anything however it was memorex.
