RCA Scenium Replacement Lamp

Hi guys, I have to replace the lamp of my RCA Scenium. its screen has gone black and green light is continuously blinking. According to the manual, as i have understood it needs a new bulb.

you guys please tell me if it is ok to go for a new lamp or is there some other fault with the Tv?
