I'm sorry to be a bother, but I am thinking of getting a MAC but I am curious about a few things. Please, any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!

1) Is there a program for MAC that is similar (as similar as possible, especially when it comes to extracting audio and converting streaming files) to SUPER?

2) Is there a program similar to EAC?

3) Is there a program similar to Nero?

4) If I run Windows with Bootcamp, do I need a virus scanner etc. like usual?

5) Does a MAC need a firewall/spyware protection/virus scanner? If so, where can I get those?

I'm sorry for all of these questions, truly!

I know that they have Nero and Super for the Mac but I am not sure about the third one... Yea if you run bootcamp you will need virus scan unless you disable thew network connection in bootcamp. You do not need virus or spyware software for the Mac because Macs dont get viruses mainly because it is a Unix based OS.

Good Luck...
Hope you enjoy your Mac (If you get one)

P.S. I use to be a Windows user and made the switch just this year and I was so happy with Mac I ended up buying 3 Macs in the last 6 month... I am sure you wont be disappointed!

thank you very much! I think I will enjoy the switch as well.

Do you know where I can download Super for MAC? The link you posted seems to just be for Windows :(

And thank you so much again!

Another option is to use VMWare Fusion or Parallels as a virtual machine inside OS X, basically running a copy of Windows in OS X without having to reboot with Bootcamp. That's what I use for the few Windows programs I can't do without and there is no Mac equivalent, such as Visio for network diagramming. Of the two, I prefer VMware.
