im currently in search of a gb bridge, a device which allows you to use the old gba flashcarts to play gb and gbc games. i was just wondering if there was still a place to purchase these. ive searched all over but its sold out everywhere. if its completely sold out, is there any alternative or am i out of luck? :(

I would assume such an old device is not going to be stocked any more, your best chances are checking eBay occasionally, or going to some forums which allow users to buy/sell/trade items. (the GBAtemp Trading Forum could prove useful to you)

I have read that a gb bridge is unnecessary. The way the gba tells the difference between the gba and standard gb/gb color games is by the grooves in the gba carts themselves. The gb/gbc carts do not have these grooves, so they trigger switches within the system as they go in. So, the easy (and cheap) solution is to just wrap a bit of strong/thin tape (electrical tape?) around those grooves on the back of your flash card. The tape should cover the grooves and trigger the switches. Hope that helps. Please let me know if it works. I've been wanting to get a flash linker myself just for this purpose.

Just an FYI (though you might know this already), you can't play gb/gbc on the DS. It doesn't have the hardware to run them.

well you cant play gb or gbc cartridges on the ds. so your right, but if you have a flashcart for the ds, you can use an emulator and play gc/gbc roms.

oh and i also googled it up and found this.

is this what you want? also, i think 20 USD is a little pricey for something this old though.
