i've 2 softmodded xboxes, one hasn't read xbox dvds since before i modded it (the hdd is fine, this is my mediabox) when playing halo 2 on this box certain elements of the menu's wouldn't display, but loading times etc, weren't effected. in game everything is just uber glitchy. got a second xbox and modded it (my ROXBOX with good dvd i basically used for kaid and halo2) it played halo 2 great for weeks. yesterday i fit halo 2 on the hard drive, played it off the hdd and it ran just fine for a day, today i fire it up and the rendering has gone in this one too. thought it was a dvdrom error but since ive ran it off the hdd without a hitch ive scratched that. im sure the gpu is simply exhausted in both consoles. anyone else had this happen?
btw im sure someones brought this up before however it was impossible to narrow my search within the forums or google so i had to make a thread.
