Can i downgrade my 3.71 PSP? (I need a very easy explanation)

I'm only 12 and this is probably the furthest i will go into downgrading, i have a version 3.71 PSP and want to downgrade it, but i'm too scared it will wreck my PSP. I heard i need this pandora battery or something like that, how do i get this battery and will all games work?
Thanks, i've been reading for about an hour and couldn't find anything so i decided to register and make a thread myself.

yes you need a psp fat to create the battery needed

if you can try and get the dark alex universal unbricker 3,it will put 3.71m33-2 straight onto your slim :)

Ok... Does all that still apply to a Fat PSP 3.71? O.o
Just a normal Fat PSP model 1001/98507.... I may be older then him but unlike my PC I'd rather not take the chance of destroying something I can't just rebuild on my own ... >.>

Any PSP with official firmware 3.51 or above will need a Pandora Battery to downgrade (for fat) or install custom firmware (for SLIM).
A FAT PSP with 1.50 or custom firmware is required.
If you don't have access to the required PSP above then you can go HERE and find someone close to your location. In most cases they will create the Pandora Battery for free. All you need to do is supply the Battery and Memory Stick and pay for shipping both ways.
I recommend staying away from Ebay. There have been numerous buyers that have received fake Pandora Battery's.

wow, i knew ebay sold fake batteries, fake ms but fake pandoras =/?don't take my advice, make a pandora yourself.

Hmm, ebay wow, I can say there are some guys on ebay that have legit Pandora's. There are also Some that are ok to sell permission from a developer they have to donate to the scene.

probably 90% of ebay is fakes.i bought a 3600mAh.it's not came yet but i found out it was fake 2 days after that...

Yeah the ones from Hong Kong Don't buy them. The original Batteries from the fat PSP and the Stamina Battery that can be found in retail store like BB, W-Mart, Toys R US etc. I have pictures of the differences in th batteries from HK and Retails on my home page. Since I am a Noob I do not know how to show one in a thread. You can buy from people who have a good feedback.
PSP 1.00 ---> 1.50 homebrew --->Big jump to CFW 3.30oe ----->3.40oe then oea'------------>3.52M33------------------> 5th PSP's 2 sold to friends--> SLim & LiTe Piano Black 2 Fat ones 3.71m33 ALL)

yeah, i got my battery from hong kong.i really can't be assed by getting out there and get a battery.anyways, to enter a message but with images you just need to go to imageshack and upload an image.when done, go to direct link(at the bottom)and copy and paste with [img] and [/img] in the middle.
i.e. [img]imagelink[/img]
if you want to make a new thread about psp batteries then go to mod and firmware discussion and at the top right there should be a tab saying start a new thread.

get it from dark-alex.org.search for desperetar_cementrio v3 or whatever whatever it's called.and no, you don't need pandora for this.it makes something like a pandora but it upgrades you directly to 3.71m33.

hello guys i got a psp fat but i got a big problem in it when i upgraded it to 3.71 m33 after upgrading when i went at the xmb menu i got a message an internal error occured well i heard that 3.71 will play any game but i cant play tekken and some other games. i dont know if my psp is fully upgraded or there is some other fault when i tried it on my friend psp fat 3.71 with the same game same memroy stick it came. now i am confused whats wrong with my psp and one thing more when my psp battery charge lowers to 24%.... etc when i put it in charge at once i get 100% fully charged. is that true that a battery can be charged soo fast. does battery have any connection with upgrading yeah i know when u upgrade ur psp ur battery must be 75% but why does it upgrade if the battery is wrong charged. please someone tell me whats the best solution.

You may need a new battery. Did you make that battery a jigkick or pandora's battery? Some people have gotten errors or weird battery problems when flashing the battery just buy a new one. On the game play press select on the psp to go into the vsh menu and change the umd iso mode to sony NP 9660 driver it should work there

ok so like how the fellow person who started this thread was when he 1st posted on here im a noob starting just like him ... according to the research ive done before posting this i found out i have the slim&lite psp due to the fact the person said that my wlan switch is in the top left of my psp .. also that i need the despertar del cementerio v3 to downgrade my psp .. however i do not have a pandora battery and as indicated above it said it was needed for the fat psp(im guessing the original psp and not mine?)i have the 3.71 firmware at the moment and as for which motherboard i have ive got no clue the way everyone says to check is covered by a silver plate on my psp so ive got no clue there.
so i guess my questions are as followes:
1) do i need this moded battery
2) if so is there any one near the tampa florida location with expierence in making them and can help me (usf college location to be specific)
3) even though i download the "despertar del cementerio v3" ive got no idea what to do with it so i would need help there (found the page on how to use this in yalls fourms but got a little lost on the formating of my memorystick)
4)i see theres new updates past the 3.71 m33-2 which they say the cementery thing updates to so how exactly do you do new updates because you cant do sony's
5)whats the chance of bricking my psp with all this
